Media Release: 57% of non mobile internet banking users cite security as #1 concern

A recent online survey undertaken by Global Reviews on the use of mobile banking apps has highlighted security is the number one consumer concern. 57% of survey participants that don’t use mobile internet banking said they would only use their mobile device in the future if they could be convinced that it is safe.

Global Reviews followed the journey of Australian consumers looking to engage energy providers.

Online hotel booking providers told to instil trust and confidence with consumer

Around 250 attendees at the "No Vacancy" conference in Sydney today were provided with some key insights into understanding consumer behaviour when it comes to online hotel booking.

The top take-away from "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" presentation by Greg Muller, Global Reviews CEO, was that these sites needed to instil trust and confidence with the consumer in three main areas:

Top health insurance brands back up awareness with effective web delivery

The four companies which led the list for highest brand recall in a recent study into the marketing effectiveness of health insurance providers were still in the top four by the time consumers reached the stage of shortlisting for further consideration, albeit the ranking changed.

Consumers were asked if they could identify (unprompted) companies that provided health insurance services. Out of over 45 named, Medibank Private was the top provider in terms of brand recall having been included in 88% of responses, followed by Bupa (67%), NIB (46%) and HCF (34%).

Media Release: Big bank brands engaging more effectively than small lenders in contact centres

The notion that small lenders provide better service than the large banks has been challenged by a recent Global Reviews study into the telephone sales effectiveness of contact centres in the mortgage industry.

Global Reviews recently undertook the study on 19 Australian financial institutions, comprising both major banks and smaller lenders.

The results highlight that there is considerable disparity between the sales methodologies of these two sub sectors of the mortgage industry.
